Learning and practicing the skills of breathing and mindfulness can have a positive impact on your recovery from trauma. The brain needs to heal as much as your mind does. The most important part of creating a breathing or mindfulness routine is to be consistent and do the skill with as much intention as you can. Do it well. You do not need to do the skill for a long time...do what you can, as well as you can, as consistently as you can.
